Privacy Policy

Last updated · SEOGorillas Inc.

This policy explains what personal information SEOGorillas Inc. (“SEOGorillas”, “we”, “us”) collects through seogorillas.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you have a question about it, email info@seogorillas.com.

Who we are

SEOGorillas Inc. is a digital marketing agency serving businesses in the United States and Canada, with teams in Los Angeles and Toronto. SEOGorillas Inc. is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach our privacy contact at info@seogorillas.com or 310.254.0867.

What we collect

  • What you send us. When you fill in the contact form, the quote form, the free audit or visibility check, or the newsletter sign-up, we collect what you enter: usually your name, email address, phone number, business name, website address, the services you are interested in, your budget range and your message.
  • Bookings. When you book a call, the booking is handled by Calendly, which collects your name, email address and the time you choose. Calendly’s own privacy policy applies to the information it holds.
  • How you use the site. Only if you allow analytics or advertising cookies, we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to record pages visited, how you arrived and actions such as form submissions. Until you choose, these tools run in Google’s consent mode and do not set analytics or advertising cookies.
  • Technical information. Our web host records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.

Please do not send sensitive information, such as health, financial or government identification details, through our forms.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and run the call you booked.
  • To provide and manage the services you buy from us, including invoicing.
  • To send the newsletter you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand which pages and campaigns help visitors, and to improve the site, if you allowed analytics cookies.
  • To measure and improve our own advertising, if you allowed advertising cookies.
  • To keep the site secure and to meet our legal obligations.

We collect and use personal information with your consent, which you give by submitting a form, booking a call or accepting cookies, or where the law otherwise allows it. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits.

Cookies and your choices

Essential cookies keep the site working and remember your cookie choice. Analytics and advertising cookies are off until you turn them on. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, and only for that purpose:

  • our website host and email delivery provider;
  • Calendly, for booking calls;
  • Google, for analytics and advertising measurement, only if you allowed those cookies;
  • our accounting and payment providers, if you become a client.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Where it is stored

We and our service providers may store and process personal information in Canada, the United States and other countries. Information stored outside your country may be accessible to that country’s courts and authorities.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and generally no longer than two years after our last contact, unless you become a client. We keep client records for as long as the law requires, for example for tax purposes. Then we delete or anonymize them.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards for the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to the people who need it, and up-to-date software. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under Canadian privacy law and California privacy law, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the use of your information for targeted advertising. Email info@seogorillas.com and we will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact your local privacy regulator, such as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
